Recently II: Introducing my Senpai

Part Two,

So it turned out that friend of mine randomly searched my senior's name on Google and found her blog. And in the blog the senior laughed at us because we kept replying "no" each time she sounded negative when actually the answer was "yes". Argh.

Dear senpai (you take Japanese too after all), if you see this post, I'm really sorry that I'm kind of stalking your blog. Please forgive me. Though I don't think you'll ever see this anyway.

So this senior found is... Argh I don't care for hiding names anymore, I just won't tag her name and hopefully my senior won't find it. Her name's Yun Zhen and she's like Rebekah's sidekick. You know stuff like Powerpuff Girls? If Rebekah was Blossom, Cui Qin would probably be Bubbles and Yun Zhen would be Buttercup.

Because Yun Zhen scares the hell out of the Year One NPCC (Sea) Cadets. Which includes me. She's really scary, like when she talks to us it feels like there's something negative in whatever we're doing. No matter how she says it. Even when she's in normal mode she's still like that.

Some of my batchmates hate her and one of them wants to hug her (which makes no sense). For me I can't really say I like her that much, but I don't hate her. Like, I think that she really is trying not to be mean, but it's just natural or something for her so she ends up sounding very scary and scaring the hell out of us, unfortunately.

Anyway. So thanks to Emily I ended up stalking Yun Zhen's posts on NPCC (Sea) to see whether she wrote anything negative about us. I had to laugh when she wrote that our 'optimism' was 'very encouraging'. If she'd known how we'd end up by the end if the year... I haven't finished reading, but according to Andrea, who gave me spoilers probably because she read from most recent unlike me, she openly hates us.

Far as I read she doesn't hate us, but maybe it's just she only noticed it in the last few months or something. Which is sad. But I kind of can relate to her now. She likes ixora, you know, just like me. Although I like a lot of flowers. Just that I find ixora petite and cute. And her religious views are quite similar to mine.

Sadly, she always feels like punching us, thinks we're basically girly, pretty rude, too free, not conformed enough, etc. Not to mention we keep asking questions like, "Do you like cats." But she thinks we're appreciative and enthusiastic.

Sayon.

Recently

Saishouka. Is that correct?

Saishouka, not a lot of things happened. Other than a friend of mine introducing me to the habit of stalking CCA seniors. Argh. And watching HetaOni and Hetalia stuff all over again. Besides that, in about 2 days I have exams. So far we had Chemistry Practical (known as SPA or something) and Japanese Oral.

SPA went pretty smoothly, other than the fact that I took half the time they gave me to complete it. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing, because the teacher said, 'Chemistry teachers can do the SPA given to you in half the time because they have good time management!'. Which either means:

1. I have awesome time management.
2. I was careless.

My time management is the worst in the world, but I think that reason is more likely than the other. I didn't spill any liquids, burn anything, et cetera. Not to mention the answer was definitely 'Hydrogen' produced, and the unknown solution was 'Hydrochloric acid'. Any acid will do, actually. Even 'Acid'.

Firstly, it was definitely hydrogen. Why? Because for one, I didn't smell anything horrible so there was no ammonia to begin with. When I tested for CO2 nothing happened either, unless you consider 'calcium hydroxide (remaining) clear'. But even though I left the test tube uncovered for about 5 minutes (a mistake on my part since that meant the gas probably escaped by then), the flame still 'extinguished with a "pop" sound'. Isn't that a miracle?

(It was quite strange though. There was one whole bench which got ammonia, don't ask me how. And another with CO2 because they imagined things or something. Another one got nothing at all. My bench was the lucky one which tested positive for hydrogen.)

It was also really funny. Like Student A and Student B sat right beside each other. Then A wanted to light her fire, so she turned on the gas tap. But she hadn't even clicked the lighter when her Bunsen burner burst into flames.

Why? Well you see, the fans were causing a lot of wind, the fire was being blown by the wind and B's fire was being blown towards A's Bunsen burner... (Considering we had to be graded on how we lighted our fires, we joked that she'd get high marks because she didn't do anything and her fire lighted.)

Japanese Oral was tanoshikata desu. There were quite a few Kanji, but to my relief I only didn't know two of them. My passage was about going to the beach with my friends and the stuff I did. Like eating 'Sandoichi'. Or playing 'Tenisu'. Japanese is a bit strange sometimes, but at least it's logical (sometimes).

Then during my conversation the teacher asked me 9 questions. I didn't know one, but I guess it was okay because others didn't know about 3.

1. What school are you from?
Rahurusu jyoushi chugakko desu. (Raffles Girls' School.)

2. Where is your school?
Jitsu wa wakaranai, demo Ochado Roudo no naka ni? (Actually I don't know, but in Orchard Road?)

3. What's your CCA?
Anpishishishi. (NPCCSea.) [Sounds quite lame when I romanize it like that...]

4. Is your CCA fun?
Tanoshikata desu! (It's fun!)

5. Something about me and tsukaeru. I think it was something about my hobbies, but I'm not sure.

6. Where's your house?
Watashi no uchi wa Bukitto Battoku _______ [I just mumbled out some particles here.] (My house is in Bukit Batok.)

7. What type of rooms are in your house? [What the shit?]
Etto... Oneechan no heya, oneechan no heya, oneechan mo heya, okaasan no heya to watashi no heya. (My sister's room, my sister's room, my sister's room again, my mother's room and my room.)

8. What is in your room?
Hon. (Books.)

9. What type of books?
Manga. Manga to... Etto... Manga. (Manga. Manga and... Manga.) [Because I forgot how to say other types.]

Yeah. Pain in the ass, but it was quite fun and I think I did not too bad for a Level One in Japanese.

[Songs] Aishiteru (Kourin) (With Hetalia PV)

Recently I've been watching those fanmade AMVs where the fans draw their own pictures, fit it to an existing song and set it out. So I've been watching for Hetalia ones, and I quite like them.

Some of them show the melancholic pasts of the countries and how they have to get over it and continue living as they are. One of my favourites uses the song "Aishiteru" by Kourin. It basically shows some sad scenes from the lives of the countries.

For example, there was the scene with the rainy, fateful day where England had to let go of America. Where France gave Joan d'Arc a flower to put in her hair and Joan smiled. The very next scene was of Joan's grave and the flower in her hair as a bouquet at her tombstone. Leaving China behind, Japan's coldness to his mentor. Everyone leaving Russia and loneliness coming; but Belarus comes back and hugs him tightly.

【AxisPowersヘタリア】ヘタリアで『愛してる』【手書き】‐ニコニコ動画

It's very charming and beautiful, and I think it's absolutely wonderful because I wanted to cry even though it wasn't a tearjerker and I didn't cry anyway. The drawing style is also very beautiful, and a lot of people seem to want hair like Japan's.

[Hetalia] Re-Edit: Official Malaysia?!

OH MY GOSH! My roleplay friend, China, actually went to research on Malaysia from the post about Malaysia being a female. According to her, Malaysia there is just a Malaysian that Himaruya met, not really the real nation. -pisses off at the fanfiction writer who informed me wrongly-

... But she'll probably serve as the basis for Malaysia anyway... Noooo.

Well, at least my MYSG vs. IDSG vs. USSG vs. UKSG is still existent anyway.

Sayon.

Why Do We Need Pop Quizzes For Researching Anyway?

My teacher set us this ridiculously long quiz on how to research. Considering it's an open book test and we have a week to do it, it's quite ridiculous.

Then again, Research Studies (RS) has always been stupid. We used to spend our time in RS doodling, doing homework, falling asleep or sleeping outright. The only RS that managed to catch our attention was Interview, and that was only because the teacher bought us curry puffs to eat during the lesson.

But it really is fail. Just about 10 questions on why malepregnancy.com is not reliable or something. Dude, it's not reliable because our instincts say so. We have good instincts you know. Singaporeans are just like that; so kiasu that they need to triple-check everything to make sure they're really getting the 5Cs.

[Hetalia] Official Malaysia?!

AHHHHHH!!! I was reading the awesome fanfiction in my previous post, and then the author said that new nations had come out! So I went to look to see if Singapore was there somehow, and guess what I saw? What I friggin' saw??

NOOOOO!!! FUUUUU NOOO!!!!!

-fangirl heart shatters- -throws away IDSG and MYSG- Now only UKSG's left...

OH GOD but the impossible just happened and Malaysia turned out to be a female. What if Singapore turns out to be a guy...?

THEN THERE'S NO PAIRING POSSIBLE BECAUSE MALAYSIA SHOULD ALWAYS BE THE SEME AND SINGAPORE'S SUPPOSED TO BE MUCH LESS AGGRESSIVE!! FUUUU!!!

And if that happens I'll die... All the evidence says Singapore should be a girl... Even the gender ratio of guys to girls in Singapore is 974:1000... And I'm a Singaporean girl and as far as I see Singaporean guys aren't interesting at all...

NOOO THAT'LL BE ONE OF MY REASONS FOR SUICIDE. DEFINITELY. I CAN NEVER BE PROUD OF MY COUNTRY AGAIN IF SHE'S NOT A GIRL IN HETALIAAAAAA.

And when I went to the Hetalia group I'm in on Facebook, screaming about this horrible piece of news, the first thing a girl said was:

"Wow. You're abandoning the pairing just because Malaysia's a girl? Talk about being a misogynist."

She doesn't know how much that hurt me, huh... Usually I do like females, to the point where people called me a lesbian. It's always sad how people always call me names for everything I do.

That's another reason why I love Hetalia so much. Because all of the countries are part of the environment, and they can never hurt me like how humans do. And that's why I hate humans so much, because they're always hurting everything that exists. If we could all just disappear, I'm sure the world would be able to revive again.

Sa-sayon...

[Hetalia] Hints of Singapore?

I was just reading this random fanfic and this popped out at me. As I read, the girl, Name (because it was supposed to be Reader x Country), began to sound a lot like Singapore! As in, exactly. Other than the part about her already being England's when America came.

First, Name is an island country. THAT. Is definitely Singapore. Secondly, all the countries featured are on good relations with Singapore. Unfortunately there's no Malaysia or Indonesia because they aren't in the series.... Yet. Hopefully they will.

Next, Singapore used to be a charge of England, which Name is. She is also on very good relations with America now, like Name in the series. Name is also like her in that during World War II, she was being protected by America. Although unlike her, I don't think Singapore fell in love with Germany. At least, I hope not. Even though Singapore's on good terms with Germany now.

Singapore also has good relations with both UK and US and Name is a subject of romantic conflict for UK and US in the fanfiction. Ohohoho~ Although in the fic France french kissed her. Which seems pretty likely for Singapore, even though France is on good terms with her too.

Basically, it shouts Singapore x World. And since Singapore trades and knows almost all the countries, it's very logical. She even knows Canada.

[Hetalia] How Violin Pieces Can Be Hetalian Crack

So these are based on my violin pieces.

1. In one of them, the composer was born in Germany. He moved to Vienna, Austria for a short time, but spent most of his career in Hungary.

So basically, Germany dated Austria, but dumped him and hooked up with Hungary...?

2. He was born in Newcastle, England. Afterwards he moved to Germany but ended up in America.

So... USUK anyone, after the crack GerUK?

3. The Italian piece was based off the French "Corrente", which means running movement.

France-oniichan huh.

4. The composer was born in London, and inspired by Cuba's music.

America and Cuba's been getting along then?

And finally, the crack which kept us laughing for quite some time:

A Greek song's description: "The 7/8 metres (3+2+2) makes for some exciting rhythms. It needs to be played incisively around the middle, and quite near to the bridge."

My friend saw something perverted in this.

[Hetalia] How Singapore Views Other Countries

I've been researching on Singapore's Foreign Relations with Other Countries because I wanted to check which pairings made a lot of sense. Like, I know Malaysia x Singapore is popular and very logical, but I want to know what other countries like her.

According to the sources that I looked at, Singapore shares relations with 175 countries. That's a lot, don't you think? Not to mention that despite that she trades with practically every single country in the world, probably. But of all of them, it seems that there are four main countries she knows best: Malaysia, Indonesia, England/United Kingdom and America/USA. Popular, aren't you~?

Apparently Singapore and Malaysia share "complex relations". But it's been getting better. Hmm, a hint huh? And it was fun to hear how "due to obvious geographical reasons" it mattered a lot to Singapore her relationship with Indonesia and Malaysia.

And it was quite surprising, the results. Like, I knew for quite some time that Singapore separated from Malaysia, but I didn't know they actually had a lot of problems with each other. For example, how Singapore keeps drinking Malaysia's water. And how Singapore keeps trying to... No, I'll say this later together with Indonesia.

Indonesia and Singapore have generally good relations. Oho~ But like with Malaysia they have a few disputes over some things, like land reclamation. I love this point, it's awesome. Apparently they're pissing off about how Singapore doesn't give them privacy of space. And like my friend aptly put, "Singapore, do you have like NO concept of personal space? Get offa me!"

PFFT AHAHAHAHAAAAA! Although I think Indonesia x Philippines might be cool too.

They also mentioned that Singapore and England have pretty close ties, considering that once upon a long time Singapore used to be England's. Okay that sounded kind of. But anyway, now they only ever really meet during UN meetings and trade. Personally I think Singapore's still reeling from England's abandoning of her last time~

And America too; they said "share a long-standing and strong relationship". UH WHAAT? I can totally imagine Singapore and America arguing over England's treatment of them. But I have nothing much to say about this pairing because I don't really like it as much as the rest. In my opinion I think that America does like Singapore but Singapore's just using him in a way.

So in conclusion it's mainly Malaysia, Indonesia, England and America fighting for Singapore's affection. What I love to do, though, is to make Singapore a normal person but very cold to others trying to approach her romantically. And no one can blame her, because:

1. Portugal burnt her.
2. England abandoned her.
3. Japan tortured her.
4. Malaysia expelled her.
5. All this was done when she was very vulnerable.

And Malaysia and Indonesia usually fight it out, while England and America fight it out. Although sometimes Malaysia and England fight it out. In terms of the one who's winning, I'd place it as: Malaysia, England, Indonesia and then America.

Though I like to put it so that Singapore has been harbouring unrequited love for England ever since the first time he came to the Malay Archipelago. While her love for Malaysia and Indonesia is more naughty, in a sense. Cough. And with America she kind of regards him as a friend who can provide protection from outside forces. Like maybe France. (Even though apparently she shares good relations with France too... Maybe because she's female?)

As for girlfriends, she is especially close to Taiwan. They apparently like doing dangerous stuff like throwing grenades together. Apparently she's also friends with Belgium, Hungary and Ukraine but not Belarus or Liechtenstein. Sadly.

So here are all of the countries just for the sake of putting it.

1. Brunei
Their currencies are the same.
2. North Korea
3. China
He threatened her before though.
4. Taiwan
She introduced bubble tea to Singapore.
5. Indonesia
First person to ever meet her.
6. Malaysia
Her elder brother by default. Once married.
7. Belgium
8. Denmark
9. France
Somehow.
10. Germany
11. Greece
Strong relations too.
12. Holy See
13. Hungary
14. Italy
Not as much though.
15. Romania
Singapore loves how cheap Romania's stuff is.
16. Russia
Since 1968.
17. Serbia
18. Ukraine
She recognized Ukraine's independence
19. United Kingdom
20. Australia
Free trade for all.
21. Canada
Except America's helping to represent him.
22. Egypt
23. India
Saved her when China threatened her.
24. Iraq
25. Israel
Helped her after Malaysia rejected her.
26. Mexico
27. Pakistan
Considers Singapore a sincere friend.
28. New Zealand
29. South Africa
30. Thailand
31. Japan

There's supposed to be 175 in total, but they only put those in Wikipedia. Yeah.

[Songs] 「Black ★ Rock Shooter」& Cendrillon【サンドリヨン】

They're two songs which I've already known for quite some time, but only recently I've begun to like them very much. I'm planning to try singing Black Rock Shooter. Besides I have a feeling that it might be a song which I can remember the lyrics to.

Black Rock Shooter has really cool lyrics which I like. It's quite poetic. I quite like the concept of the blue fire in Black Rock Shooter's eye, though at first I thought she was Miku cosplaying or something. Even though it's an original concept, but it looks quite unoriginal to me.

Although the OVA is quite illogical in the time frame and also quite illogical how the whole thing basically shows the high-school drama of Mato, Yomi and Yuu. It's called Black Rock Shooter for a reason, you know... They made it so that the alternate world thing seems very extra and just there to contain Black Rock Shooter.

I like Nayuta's cover of Black Rock Shooter even better than Hatsune Miku's version:

And now, Cendrillon. For some reason I always grouped Cendrillon and Cantarella in the same group and hence always thought Cantarella was a duet too.

The first time I heard it I cast it away easily, but about 2 years later (now) I decided to hear it since it was apparently very popular. It sounds a bit like Flandre Scarlet's theme, UN Owen was Her, to me at first. But after a while I thought it was a brilliantly romantic song. That's how I started crossing over Cendrillon with Singapore x England.

I like Tourai & Usa's version best, though I think Pokota & Hanatan rocks too. I preferred Tourai & Usa's because their voices aren't as mature as Pokota and Hanatan's, so it makes Cinderella and her prince seem more on the teenager side rather than as adults.

As per usual I prefer the covers to the Vocaloids. Here is the link to Pokota & Hanatan's:

(I was a bit surprised by how sweet Hanatan's voice sounded since she always seemed more on the mature voice side.)

And Tourai & Usa's:

(I like how their voices can be good even if they don't tremble their voices to make it sound mature.)

Why I Hate Going to Church

In about 30 minutes the sermon's going to start, but I don't want to go. I mean like, I have the right to! I'm not Christian! I'm a free thinker who can worship anything I want to!

But my parents force me to go to church even though I just sit there doing absolutely nothing for about 2 entire hours. It's not that the people aren't nice or what, it's just that I find the belief of Christianity somehow very... Stupid.

No offence, Christians.

But to me it feels quite lame. They're always talking about how God made us in his likeliness and how he loves us all, et cetera. (And by the way, calling God a him is already being prejudiced.)

Yet what happens? Just because one single Jew doesn't believe in Jesus Christ, all other Jews are hated. And if they were correct and Jesus really revived from the cross, then there's no harm done! Even if the intention's there. And so, thanks to one simple action like that, when it's not even determined if Jesus is really God's son or whatsoever, what happens? Mad people like Hitler try to wipe out the whole population of Jews and tries to prove that Christianity is best.

That is pure narrow-mindedness. So what if he practices Buddhism, everyone's equal, you might think Catholic is better but that's how the Buddhists think, and you respect that. If God really made all humans to be equal, then why are some religions much worse than others?

And according to all I have heard in church, which is almost nothing but who cares, God says that people who don't believe in him will not get to go to Heaven or something. That's idiotic, really. It means that even if you're an innocent virgin who is well-rounded and loved by everyone, if you don't believe in Christianity you will go to Hell because you're bad.

Doesn't make sense, does it.

And despite everything they've said, in the end it sounds more like God wants us to lick his boots. They have parts where you just sing worship songs, but the lyrics always have something about humans willingly becoming the slave of God, to put it bluntly. And how we will promise to do everything God tells us to, because he's our master, we're the dog and we don't mind murdering Jews just because God told us to do as he commanded.

Something similar may be in other religions, but this post is mainly concentrated on Christianity. Maybe Christians out there will protest against me, but I'm sorry, this is the way I feel and you do anything about it. This dislike for Christianity is somehow rather natural, so even if I do believe in all that I still wouldn't be able to bring myself to like it.

Besides, the part where they sing worship songs sounds a lot like a punk rock concert. It's more like they're taking advantage of the church to show off their amazing singing skills, or whatever skills they have. Which I hate, because even if I don't like Christianity I still feel that they should respect the usage of instruments and respect the church.

And the only thing I really want to do in the church is to play with their instruments, but they only give us lame games rather than the instruments to try.

House Committee!

I went for an interview for House Committee selections today! Actually I'd already applied some time ago but the emails only came in about 3 days ago. Telling a whole bunch of us that we would be interviewed. I have no idea how they picked me. Suppose it was because I managed to not doodle on the paper. Or because I used to chat with them before house practice about anime and the like.

So I was applying for Level Coordinator, Creative Arts (CAD) and Administrator. Because I'm kind of OCD with thanks to influence from my sisters and also artistic thanks to my sisters.

Need to thank her for introducing anime to my life at 5 years old.

So before the interview (at 3.20 or so) I spent my time playing with a... Cello? Double Bass? I forgot. That belonged to a newly-found acquaintance next door. Happily, I play the violin so it was pretty simple except for where to place my fingers and the fact I couldn't see the strings. And we spent a lot of time chatting and stuff since they were also running for House Committee.

(Oh, and I'm in Tarbet, or the Red House. The cello/double bass girl and my ex-friends are in Richardson, the Blue House. I also have a friend in Buckle, the Green House, but I don't think she ran...)

When it was reaching my turn I went there and found the girl right before me (Rachel) camping out there with a Year 3 who was apparently the CAD but I'd never seen her before. Which is alarming since I can remember all of the House Committee by at least face and most of them by name. I even know what they like or where they live for some, like Li Yin likes anime and Min Yan lives in Joo Koon and has an elder sister only one year older.

The door opened to let out Carla, my classmate, so I yelled, "Hi Carla!" and saw Pauline (now the house captain) inside so I waved to her but the door slammed just as she turned her head towards me. How melancholic.

(Shockingly, Rachel went in. Then after a while we heard the sound of "These days are all~ Happy and free~" so we looked in through the small window. We saw her dancing and shuffling for the House Committee. The moment she came out, Carla and her began their dancing spree.)

So it was my turn and I waved to Li Yin who brought me in. The moment I came in the first person I recognized easily was Pauline so I said, "Hi Pauline."

"Ha, she only greeted me."

"Shut up Pauline."

And then they asked a lot of questions and I just acted as normal as I could and imitated the me that they'd always known because I figured that me was the kind of girl they would want. I used a lot of them as examples for my points a lot of times, though I waved at the recording camera before doing anything. Su Yun has a red iPhone to record apparently.

I messed up though, because I put Level Coordinator before CAD though I realized afterwards CAD would have suited me ten times better. But at that time I thought Level Coordinator would suit me because it'd expose me to a large band of people and I'd get to do admin work.

They went through my rushed together art portfolio (which actually had the original copies and even a random Cendrillon fan picture I drew in class that very day, the horror!) and were like, "Did you do this??" when they saw the digital art of Shime that I was working on. They said they'd return it and I hope they do, because I do so want my original arts and I want back the MY-UK-HK picture of them fighting for Singapore's affection.

Yes, I've added Hong Kong to the MYUK love rivals thing. Because I figured one European, one Asian and one Malay Peninsula would be better. Plus Hong Kong and Singapore used to trade even before England colonized both of them anyway.

Anyway, they were like, " Why didn't you put CAD first then??" and I threw out the first answer I could think of. Then the interview was pretty much over. Oh yeah...

Pauline: Do you have any questions?

Me: ...

Me: Yeah... What's her name again? -points-

Girl (Kelly apparently): ...

Vanessa: That's Kelly.

Me: Oh yeahh.

And they asked me to draw a shirt design involving a cow in ten minutes. So I drew one shirt with a cow nad there were captions saying, "I am Cow/Hear me MOO". Author notes below said, "LI YIN REMEMBER THIS SOOOONG?"

Another one was a rap song design.

[Start transcript]
I can be found at
Marche's [A/n: Spelt wrongly, I spelt Mache in the design]
-Picture of some Marche logo-
And I'm cool and red over
There
-picture of red colour-
And I'm so cow-ly red that I'm from
Tarbet <3
[End transcript]

Also put author notes, "I <3 Marche! They have cows there but they're taller than me though."

And last one was rushed out because I knew Mengge was coming out soon (I'd heard some cheering inside from the House Comm but didn't dare check why they were cheering) and I decided to just make one more. A girl cosplaying as a cow in a tophat and a sleeveless and strapless one piece dress down to right above her knees. Caption: "Cow cosplay anyone?"

Heh.

That pretty much sums it up, other than how I spent 1 hour or more talking to Zhi Rui, the girl with the cello/ double bass. She apparently drew a genie with a triangle head.

(Tarbet's mascot is a cow; Richardson's is a genie. That's why.)

And other than all the Facebook comments of course.

[Cover] Chain Girl

After two entire days of working I managed to come up with something reasonable. The song is by Hatsune Miku and called Chain Girl. The context is about a girl who feels like she has no freedom and someone (presumably God) is just using (letting her live?) her because he/she/it's using her like a doll. She's frustrated and lonely, and wants them to unchain her.

I don't know how but I managed to memorize the lyrics easily. It seems I memorize easier when the lyrics remind me of myself, like You and Beautiful World and now, Chain Girl.

I put two voices together because I couldn't decide which one was better. The first one was rather assertive but kind of too rough and the second one was very passive but flat sometimes. So I tried putting them together and surprisingly, the two voices cancelled out the worst of each other!

Afterwards I deleted the incurable parts (like hoarseness, off-tune, wrong lyrics) and rerecorded. I'm really glad I got the hang of Audacity; it proved extremely useful as I removed as much background noise as possible, mixed seven audio tracks together and deleted out poorly done parts. It was very fun to record twice for everything I tell you.

[Songs] Exec Ar Tonelico

Recently I've found myself hooked onto hymms from Ar Tonelico.

Ar Tonelico is a game which sounds a lot like a fighting RPG and dating sim put together, but it's not. The fighting RPG thing is still there, but you play as the human and you're not supposed to date your counterparts, known as Reyvateils. All Reyvateils are female so in comes the common female harem in video games.

Even though I've heard the game sucks and I don't like female harems, but I do like the hymms they sing. I especially like Akiko Shikata's hymms, though I'm okay with Mitose Noriko and Shimotsuki Haruka. Exec Chronicle Key and Exec Flip Arphage are absolutely my favourites, I can't get bored of them~

I've also discovered that Exec Chronicle Key is a nice song to play when it's raining heavily. Try someday, it just gives you this really nice feeling. Exec Flip Arphage is more hardcore after the quiet beginning and a lot of people use it for HetaOni AMVs. Or whatever Movie Video it is.

I insert here a picture of Misha, the girl who is supposedly singing when it's actually Akiko singing. I don't think she's very pretty, but I do like Akiko's voice very much.

The Yin/Yang things in her hair are the only things that really make her ugly, other than that she's not so bad. Well, maybe something can be done about the pigtails coming out of the tomoe hairbands in her hair. Akiko sings Exec Chronicle Key under the guise of Misha.

Akiko Shikata also sings for another Reyvateil named Saki. Saki's supposedly the one singing Exec Flip Arphage.

Since I'm on it, I'll put the two other heroine Reyvateils here, and come to think of it, the antagonist too.

This one's Aurica. There's a song named Exec Purger which both Misha and Aurica sing but they have different versions for both of them. I don't really like her hymm singer, but Aurica's quite pretty though.

I find Shurelia's clothes kind of disturbing, but I like the translucent petal-like things at the top of her boots. It's quite cool even if it's not ideal for wearing. She's supposed to be over 700 years old, which is plain creepy but it's always like that.

And this is, or was, the antagonist. Her name is, or was, Mir. The picture I upload, however, is the so-called reborn her, rechristened as Jacqli. Weird name, don't you think? But I guess it has some meaning in another language.

I say Jacqli's dress is cool even if she doesn't look that pretty.

Facebook Parodies

I haven't posted in a while because nothing much's been happening since it's the holidays. I don't want to go back to school, I haven't done my homework... Heck.

So I dug this out. My sister gave it to me a few years back, before Hetalia began to influence me.

Oh the Hetalia.

Hints of FrUK and GerIta? Oh my gay. And Holland supports FrUK, apparently.

[Cover] Meltdown + Carrot and Stick

Actually I sang Carrot and Stick before Meltdown, but I uploaded Meltdown first. So I shall put it in order of the uploading.

But I think I did better for Carrot and Stick.

For some reason I can't find it on Youtube so I'm uploading here. I can't do the Belarus raspy evil voice thing but I'm happy with how I sang for Ukraine. Bela sounds kind of weird in the first part because I just switched voice from Ukraine to Belarus so she actually sounds gentle.

Creepy as hell.

OC Singapore's Shimeji

So I got caught up in the Shimeji craze and began making a Shimeji for Singapore! Hurray!

And I noticed this cool thing. Did you know for the image files for Shimejis they name them "shime1", "shime2", etc? Well, I realized that Shime can be a good nickname for Singapore! Because in Japanese the first sound for "Singapore is "shi" and in Japanese "princess" is "hime". So put those two together and you get Shime! Not to mention it reminds me of "shiro", which is white.

 Picture of Singapore sitting
 Singapore of Singapore falling
This really random picture I made.
Apparently reminds people of nyan cats.

At the rate I work it should take me about 3 more days, meanwhile I'll try to see if it can work!

Singapore Shimeji!

So I've been inspired by Hetalia Shimejis and am making a Shimeji of OC Singapore! Will work on Lili after that too.
I'm using my phone to update. Tomorrow I'll post the current design.

Teacher's Day

Today is September 1st, the day when the church bells ring. Well actually it's Teachers' Day. So I decided to just try making something to give to the teachers. You know, handmade to show the effort in it, et cetera, et cetera.
It was actually pretty disgusting how I made it.

I made this stupid thing:
Ingredients:
1/6 lump of butter (the kind that comes in rectangles)
200ml (or so) of water
1/7 tin of condensed milk (I'm estimating here)
Sugar (you decide yourself how much you want)
2 Eggs (Mother's suggestion)
2 Teaspoons of Starch (Mother's suggestion)

1. Firstly, pour the water into a metal pan/whatever you wanna make it in.
2. Put the butter in.
3. Put it in the oven and heat it up before dissolving the butter.
4. Take it out once all the butter has been dissolved.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4, only replace the butter with sugar.
6. Pour condensed milk in. The water should be hot enough to dissolve it.
7. Make sure that the butter, sugar and milk are all dissolved into the water.
(From here on is with my mother's help)
8. Crack the eggs and beat them.
9. Pour the egg into the mixture and mix them together.
10. Add some water to the starch to get starch water.
11. Pour the starch water inside and mix.
12. Microwave the mixture till its texture becomes like jelly.
13. Bake it in the oven to remove any excess water.

The result looks like this:

Not too bad for a first try at cooking. The texture is rather like that of pudding/jelly/custard/egg tart. It's a bit burnt at the top, as you can see... After I finished baking there was still a lot of excess oil, which was pretty disgusting so I poured away as much as I could without pouring out the... Whatever it is.

Actually the recipe was based off the recipe for Scottish Tablets because I couldn't find any flour and had to do without it. But the proportions of the ingredients and the heating method was really different so I ended up with... This.

One of my classmates was amazing to enough to guess that there was condensed milk and eggs inside the thing. Sad thing is, one thought it was egg tart, another pudding, yet another custard, and my mom reckoned it was guei (this thingy kind of like mooncakes, only much softer and less flashy). But at least they said it tasted nice.

I had the time of my life doing these:

1. Holding up the knife I used to cut it and going to other people while smiling innocently.

2. Talking to the teachers:
Me: "Would you like some?"
Teacher: "What's this?"
Me: "I have no idea."

3. Inviting my senior to come over and have some by saying innocently, "By the way, why don't you drop by my class and try some of this thing I made that I don't know what it is but I think it's edible."

4. Going around looking around suspiciously and conspicuously hiding a shiny knife.

5. Saying, "Everyone thinks I'm a mass-murderer just because I'm holding a knife!" with a pitiful look on my face, while I wave the knife around dangerously.

Yeah, knives and mysterious food are really fun to use to manipulate others.

And I told the Geography teacher this:
"Do you have a niece called Sze Min who likes dragons and likes to draw?"
"Yeah, how do you know her?"
"We're friends."
Cue WTH look from teacher.

I should do more of these someday.
